Space for soul
In a rapidly changing temporal and spatial context, people strive to balance and protect what they cherish, often placing self-care last.
This series begins with Taiwanese visual symbols, employing traditional media to construct an intangible communal space of memory for projection and connection, exploring the possibility of social support. Like the “empty chair technique” in psychology, it allows viewers to freely engage in dialogue with themselves or others within their minds.
The void and inaction within the work guide viewers to experience brief spiritual containment and repose through painting.
